His consulting career specialised in helping organisations to identify what is decisionable information in their business and how this knowledge can be used to optimise their profitability. During his extensive consulting career he worked with clients in most sectors including retail, wholesale, banking, publishing, manufacturing, healthcare, services and all three levels of Government. He also has extensive experience in project management.
Michael was MD of a boutique consulting company for ten years, which developed its own software to provide budgeting, forecasting, longer range planning and reporting solutions for many medium and large organisations. Clients during this time included Bendigo Bank, Boeing Australia, Dick Smith Electronics, Epson Australia, Gold Coast City Council, ISS (formerly Tempo Services), LexisNexis (formerly Butterworths legal publishers), NSW Department of Juvenile Justice, Rabbit Photo, Wattyl Paints, etc.
During this period Michael, together with the consulting company’s external Accountant, optimised their own entitlements to Government Research and Development (R & D) assistance receiving more than $1,000,000 over six years and has made this part of his speciality, which he uses to assist many companies to receive and optimise their entitlements.
R & D entitlements are a complex area which is not clear, to many managers and accountants, as to exactly what comprises R & D. Even companies already registered for assistance are not optimising the extent of their entitlements nor complying with record keeping requirements.
Michael is available to explain the in and outs in detail, and mange this process to ensure easy and painless access to these entitlements.
Michael has a Bachelor of Economics with Honours in Economic Statistics and a sub-major in Accounting and is also an Accredited Associate of the Institute for Independent Business (IIB)
