Alan has in excess of 30 years manufacturing and management experience. He has held senior positions with many major manufacturing and engineering companies commencing as a Metallurgical Technician through Production and Engineering Management to General Manager and Managing Director. His experience has been gained in the Automotive Manufacturing sector, the Water and Security Industries through to Sales and General Management in the Security and Air Conditioning Industries (HVAC).
Alan became an Executive Associate of the Institute for Independent Business in 2005. The IIB is a non-profit organisation formed to assist small and medium sized business with “practical advice that works”. Much of Alan’s more recent experience has been assisting manufacturing and technically based businesses in developing and achieving strategic goals and implementing operational plans at all levels throughout various organisations.
Alan specialises in, and has been directly responsible for ISO 9001 Quality Certification of a number of companies to ISO 9001.
Alan has a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy, an MBA in Technology Management and is a Chartered Practising Engineer.
